Megan G. Mossgrove
author of "The Wingbreaker"
“Jay is detail oriented, thorough, and great at communicating her suggestions in a way that’s not intimidating. I thought my manuscript was tight, and she came in with fresh eyes, eager to make it the best it could be. She identified some of my crutch words and blind spots, and offered explanations and examples so I could move forward empowered. I’m so thankful!”

author, photographer, blogger
"Jay was pivotal in my personal transition from simply writing casual social media posts to becoming a published, award-winning writer with a writing and photography business of my own. Her ceaselessly encouraging and supportive nature inspired me to believe that yes, indeed, I was capable of writing! Only an accomplished writer and editor like Jay could have imparted such confidence and inspiration. She embodies pure professionalism gleaned from extensive experience.
"Jay’s editing style is something I very much appreciate too, as it is highly constructive whilst also maintaining the author's intended tones and messages. She has a keen, artistic eye for choosing photographs and illustrations to add allure and interest to any piece. And, as a wonderful bonus, she is honestly a great person, so easy and joyful to collaborate with."

student, author & friend
I published my first book because of Jay. It began a few years ago after I retired and wanted to write down old memories I had suppressed over 50 years ago. I never considered myself a writer but hoped to return to my past before I forgot everything. Things I had never shared with anyone.
As the memories began rapidly rising one after another, I decided to take a creative writing course. Dr. Jay Cox was my teacher, and she changed everything for me. She began the first class by telling her students what they needed to do....
"Write, write, write!
I don’t care about spelling, punctuation
or if any of it makes sense, just write."
Jay’s words opened the doors that I needed to allow myself to continue writing and to be as honest as I could. She gave me the support, strength and belief to continue. Dr. Jay has a unique sense of humor and an equally unique gift of drawing out the best in her students.
After over 40 stories emerged, it was Jay who suggested they needed to be in a book so others could read my writing.
Today my book is published because of Dr. Jay Cox... and the best part is she is now my dear friend.
